Evelyn lived with Max for awhile. They had known each other in high school. Evelyn was widowed and her children grown. She was a bit of a control freak putting Max on a 'healthy' diet and getting him to work out and such. She wasn't too fond of Jordan when she moved back home. Jordan didn't care too much for her either. They did try to be civil to each other, with Max once ordering Jordan to apologize to Evelyn for some slight. Jordan tried but Evelyn was not overly receptive. Evelyn gave Max an unspecified ultimatum, as a result of which they broke up (off-screen).
