Evelyn lived with Max for a short time. They'd known each other in high school. Evelyn was widowed and her children grown. She was a little bit of a control freak putting Max on a 'healthy' diet and getting him to work out and such. She wasn't too fond of Jordan when she moved back home. Jordan didn't care too much for her either. They did try to be civil to each other. She gave Max an unspecified ultimatum, the result of which they broke up (off-screen).
